2021 went in a flash

Starting with the Seeds to Feeds meal in March, gardeners and cooks were able to join with others to celebrate community and growing and eating local.

Over winter our stalwarts Rana and Silvana gardened and gardened. Phil and Anh turned the compost, Julie and Judith planted and weeded. Lisa the coordinator fetched pony poo from Mākara, almost getting her station wagon stuck.

Summer was hot and dry. But the flowers still bloomed, the Tuesday Marama gardeners managed to grow tomatoes, and the fruit tree's are mostly fruiting thanks to care during the year, although someone nicked a lemon tree. The rasberries were no good, the garlic was no good, but the spring onions are ongoing. There were a few working bee's, some kids from Wellington College did a great job. Phil left for another city, but Rana's friends have joined in.
